Yiddish is the Germanic language which was spoken by European Jews. The language spoken in Israel is Hebrew (the language of the Bible), NOT Yiddish (the language of the European diaspora).
America has finally decided the Bible is not illegal
This is a major blow to the BDS movement, which calls to “boycott, divest and sanction” the State of Israel, in addition to a snub to the European Court of Justice.
Today, the U.S. State Department has just announced that it will no longer use the term “settlements” to describe Judea and Samaria, a term employed by the UN. In my view, this decision means that the United States has decided that the Bible, in terms of Israel, is not illegal.
Why is this a big deal? This is a major blow to the BDS movement, which calls to “boycott, divest and sanction” the State of Israel, in addition to a snub to the recent European Court of Justice’s call to label products from Jewish businesses in Judea and Samaria. The European Court of Justice ruled that: “Foodstuffs originating in the territories occupied by the state of Israel must bear the indication of their territory of origin.”
Regrettably, Jew-haters are able to use the land to mobilize support in their favor, resulting in the United Nations referring to this as “occupied territory” and demanding that Israel relinquish it to hostile forces.
Though, for Evangelical Christians and Israel supporters, for thousands of years, Judea and Samaria (West Bank) has been the “Bible land.” It was never illegal. The promises read by Christians and Jews were that God gave it to Israel and called it an “eternal covenant.”
Most Christians and Jews in America grow up reading the Bible that recounted the history of Judea and Samaria. They read of Hebron (Kiriath Arba) where Abraham purchased land with which to bury his wife Sarah in the Cave of Machpelah. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as well as the Rebekah and Leah were also buried there. It was King David’s first capital where he was also anointed as king. -more
The Court of Justice of the European Union has just found in favour of France’s demand that products produced by Jews in Judea and Samaria not be labelled as from "Israel", but rather as "Israeli Settlement"
David Singer, in IsraelNationalNews writes:
There is no appeal from this decision.
The European Union could be in a real political bind as a result. The labelling requirements introduced by the European Union in 2011 and interpreted in 2015 has led it down this disastrous path promising only ridicule and contempt.
. . . To be consistent and not be subjected to charges that it is deliberately targeting Jews and inciting Jew-hatred – the European Union needs to insist on similar stringent labelling requirements being immediately applied on goods originating from more than 150 disputed territories around the world.
. . . The chickens from Judea and Samaria have come home to roost. -read Singer's full article
Israeli Intelligence had been tracking him for some time. It had become his practice to surround himself with children to prevent attack upon his person, i.e. he knew that we would not target him while children were in range. Then information was acquired regarding a building in Shejaiyah, outside of Gaza city, where he was alone with his wife and could be reached. So, in a pinpoint strike, we did just that. Just the room where he was sleeping was hit (to avoid injury to civilians in the building):
This is the first point to be made: the timing of the attack had to do with the opportunity to get someone who badly needed to be got. It was NOT politically motivated, as some are suggesting.
President Ruby Rivlin made his position clear in a statement that was released :
"We stand behind the security forces, who have been working for the success of this morning’s operations for a long time. I know that they, and the Israeli government that approved the operation, have Israel’s security, and only that in their minds.
This is no time for political squabbles, and those who [engage in them] bring no credit to themselves. It is time to stop this immediately."-more
Members of slain ISIL chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's inner circle are trying to enter Turkey from Syria, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday.
The number of people with family ties to al-Baghdadi who have been caught by Turkey "is close to reaching double digits", Erdogan added.
The Turkish leader's comments were his second effort in as many days to publicise his country's push to catch Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) members who were close to al-Baghdadi.
"All of al-Baghdadi's inner circle is mostly targeting our country and these people are looking for ways to settle in our country or to come to our country," Erdogan told reporters.> -more
According to FreeBeacon":A media outlet affiliated with ISIS has been instructing the group's radical adherents to set forest fires in the United States and Europe to cause mass ecological disasters, according to posts on an internet forum dedicated to the terror group.
As the notorious terrorist tried to escape capture by fleeing into underground tunnels, a trained military canine followed to keep tabs on him. It allowed US forces to close in on Baghdadi, leading him to explode the vest he was wearing, killing himself and three children he had with him.
According to Time:
The Islamic State group is mourning the death of its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and has announced a successor in a new audio release. The group identified the new leader as Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi in the audio released Thursday by the IS central media arm, al-Furqan Foundation.-more
